Elizabeth (Beth) Lucille Hasselman, 80, of Coralville, Iowa died on August 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

A gathering to celebrate Beth’s life will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 18 at Big Grove Brewery, Iowa City. Please wear your Hawkeye gear!

Beth was born on August 4,1943 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene Hasselman and Bernice (Kaskadden) Hasselman.

Beth graduated from Oskaloosa High School. She received her RN degree from St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1964.

Following graduation from St. Lukes Beth worked at University of Iowa Hospitals for 40+ years. Her major nursing contribution was starting the Kidney Transplant Units.

Beth loved to garden, dog sit and cheer on the Hawkeyes.

Beth is survived by her brother Elvin “Bud” (Terri) Hasselman, sister Janet McBeth, nephew Chris Hasselman, niece Heather (Lynn) Hughes, niece Carolyn McBeth, JoAnne and David Tigges, Anne (Sean)Weldon and Jennifer (Ryan) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Steven McBeth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Project Green Inc. or Special Olympics of Iowa.
