Theresa Lacina, 61, of Iowa City passed away at her family home on August 8, 2023 after an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Iowa City on Friday, August 11, 2023. A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Village Community.

Theresa graduated from West Branch High School and was a lifelong resident of Iowa City. She was an entrepreneurial spirit who cut hair in the area for many years. She had a wide network of friends and family and lived her life on her own terms right up to the end.

Theresa is survived by her father Donald Lacina; siblings Ron Lacina, Cathy Lacina, Mark (Jenny) Lacina, Jan (Andy) Zenisek, Al (Jill) Lacina, Sandy Gerard, Wendy Lacina, Mike (Sonya) Lacina, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn (Vitosh) Lacina.
