Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice I. Corbin, 66, former publisher of the West Branch Times with her husband, were held at Iowa City Oct. 30 with burial in Oakland cemetery at Iowa City.

Mrs. Corbin, a resident of Iowa City, died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Oct. 27 following a lengthy illness.

The daughter of Harry M. and Mina M. Elliott Morgan, she was born in Johnson county Sept. 28, 1910, and attended rural schools and was graduated from University high school, Iowa City. She was married to Frank E. Corbin at Iowa City in 1932.

They operated the West Branch Times for many years, selling it to Duane Griggs in 1948. She had lived in Iowa City and wrote many feature articles for newspapers in the area.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Sandra) Hanson, Solon and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Helms of Newton; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Mildred) Davin, Oxford; Mrs. S. N. (Velma) Tompkins, Boone; Mrs. Norwood (Betty) Louis, Iowa City and Mrs. Edward (Corrine) Mottet, Bellevue and 2 brothers, Charles Morgan, Iowa City and Virgil Morgan, Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
