Lorrie Jean Martin, 68, of Waterloo, IA died on Wednesday, February 15 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Lorrie’s family will have a private family celebration. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Martin Family in care of Zachary Martin.

Lorrie was born on March 4, 1954, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Anthony and Madeline (Strong) Harn. She grew up in rural Iowa and moved to Phoenix, AZ as a young adult to raise her family.

She was very into the arts, using her arts degree to spend the majority of her life as a graphic artist. She also used her talents for singing, keeping her busy on the weekends.

After her mother passed away, she moved her family back to Iowa. As life progressed, she spent more time crafting and gaining new talents art wise.

Her charity work became a second hobby for her as she was involved with several churches in the Waterloo, IA area and women’s support groups. She was an advocate for women in all walks of life.

Lorrie cherished her family dearly.

She is survived by her children: Zachary and Jennifer and her husband DJ Addelman; four grandchildren; her brothers Mark and his daughter Nicole and Chris and his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Emily and her stepmother June.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
