Mrs. Osborn Dead.

After a lingering illness for more than a year Mrs. G. W. Osborne passed away at the home on Madison street at 7:15 last evening. She was born in North Carolina, and was 65 years of age. Her maiden name was Rachel Yarbough. She was married to Jas. Hill. From this union one child is living. Her second marriage was to G. W. Osborne, who survives her. Five girls and three boys were born to them. All are living and live in this city. She was one of the pioneers of the county, the family coming here in the early forties. She was a lady that enjoyed a wide circle of friends, and in her death the devoted children lose a good mother, and the community a good friend.

The funeral will occur from the M. E. Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. C. H. Preston, niece of the deceased, is here from Davenport, as is also two sisters, Mrs. B. A. Kennedy, and Mrs. James Hill, of West Liberty, the latter being accompanied by her husband.
