Funeral services for William A. Gay, 95, Iowa City were held March 18. He died at his home March 15.

Born in Jamesport, Mo., April 11, 1879, the son of George W. and Filicia Hill Gay, he was raised near Bennett. He was married to Myrtle Equila Downing in Tipton. She died in 1963.

Mr. Gay founded the Gay Locker Co. in Iowa City.
