Floretta M. Hanson, 76, of Iowa City, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A private family graveside will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.

Floretta Mae Hanson was born on July 13, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Elmer and Ardeth (Haugen) Hanson. Flo lived in Iowa City with her special friend and partner, Dan Hopp. She had many friends that she met over the years with Systems Unlimited. Flo enjoyed going on trips with Dan and spending time with her family and friends.

Flo was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Hanson; her mother and step-father, Ardeth and Ron Venne.

Flo is survived by her partner, Dan Hopp of Iowa City; 5 brothers, Elmer (Alice) Hanson of Raymond, Al (Sandy) Hanson of Ogden, Art (Rhonda) Hanson of Waterloo, Dale (Diana) Venne of Evansdale and Rod Venne of San Francisco, CA; 2 sisters, Carol (Micky) Latta of Mesa, AZ, and Lois (Terry) Martin of Mesa, AZ; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
