Laura A. Brown, 90, formerly of 4283 Sycamore Street SE in Iowa City, died Friday, August 5, 2005 at her home in Iowa City after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am at Lensing’s Oak Hill in Coralville. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Iowa City.
Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing’s Oak Hill,
210 Holiday Road, in Coralville. ( Exit 242, north off of I-80 to Holiday Road)
Memorials may be directed to River Community Church or Iowa City Hospice.

Laura was born March 27, 1915 in Wheaton, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin & Alma R. (Collar) Kimberling. She married Dorus “Brownie” Brown on March 27, 1961 in Washington, Iowa.

Laura worked as a service desk clerk at K-Mart in Iowa City for 10 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of River Community church, a former member of Iowa City Light & Life Church and also a member of Mt. Zion Community Workers in Tipton, Iowa.

Survivors include:
her children, daughter, Lora “Lorraine” Lynn & her husband Matt of Iowa City

son, Gary Alberhasky & his wife Jackie of Iowa City

son, Larry Bebee & his wife Kathy of Denver, Colorado

daughter in law, Gloria Alberhasky of Boise, Idaho
23 grandchildren 42 great-grandchildren 7 great-great grandchildren

Laura was preceded in death in death by her parents, her husband Brownie in 1996, a son Lindley Irvin Alberhasky, two sisters, M. Lois Rhoads & sister, Fern Gadke and a grandson, David Meeke.
