Michael T. “Mic” Gorvin age 61 lifetime resident of Iowa City died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Michael T. Gorvin was born May 21, 1960, in Iowa City the son of James E. and Anna M. (Spratt) Gorvin. Following high school he has spent his days working for a local businesses including Iowa City Clean-Up, Waste Management, Graphic Printing and presently employed at TrueArt. Mic was a simple nothing pretentious kind of man. You knew what he was thinking and he wasn’t afraid to tell you. Didn’t much care what you thought of him but know that he would be the first to help you if you ever needed it. He cherished his friends, loved his family and carried on everyday without bothering a soul.
His family includes his two children, Roy M. Gorvin and Rhoda Rachel Gorvin; siblings, Patricia Grosvenor, Paul Gorvin, Connie Mullinnix (Roger) and Donald Gorvin; sisters & brothers in law, Cindy Gorvin, Maureen Irish-Gorvin, Phillip Escher, and Joe Breno; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Pamela Escher, Susie Breno, Jim Gorvin, Barbara Irish-Gorvin, Bruce Gorvin, Paula Gorvin and brother-in-law, John Grosvenor.
