Connie Joyce Rummelhart, 85, of Coralville passed away January 27, 2022 at The Bird House- Hospice Home of Johnson County.

A gathering for friends and family will be held Tuesday February 1, 2022 at 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville, Iowa. Private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Bird House- Hospice Home of Johnson County.

Connie was born on June 11, 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Francis and Miriam (Dimmitt) Wheeler. At a young age, her family moved to Iowa City, where she later graduated from Iowa City High School.

Connie married LeRoy Rummelhart in 1956 and spent 65 memorable years together while she raised their two sons, Ken and Kevin. She adored her grandchildren and time spent with them brought her great joy.

She is survived by her husband LeRoy Rummelhart; two sons Kenneth and Rhonda Rummelhart and Kevin Rummelhart; four grandchildren Sean, Tanya, Kendall and Alyssa; one great-grandson Daniel, and her sister Marilyn and William Nelson.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Craig Wheeler.
