Iowa City, Iowa - Newspaper Obituary

"MRS. GREAZEL PASSES AWAY"

"Died After Week's Illness; Had Resided in County for 43 Years"

Mrs. Peter Greazel, aged 64 years, five months, and 26 days, passed away at her home on North Dodge Street, at 2 o'clock, yesterday afternoon, following a week's dangerous illness.

The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning, at St. Wenceslaus Church, and interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Friends, in the meantime, may view the remains at the Hohenschuh Mortuary.

Mrs. Greazel came from Bohemia, in March, 1881, and has resided here during the 43 years since. Surviving are her three sons and four daughters, Otto, Iowa City; Edward and Fred, at home; and Mesdames George Burger, Frank Dvorsky, G. E. Ward, and William Cerny, all of Iowa City and Johnson County. There also mourn 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Greazel was a devoted member of the St. Wenceslaus Church, and of the Rosary Society of that organization.

She was a devout Catholic, a willing worker in the church, and was a loving mother and true friend to the many, old and young, who learned to respect and love her for her good qualities.

All of these friends will offer sincere sympathy to the sorrowing children and other relatives.
