Last rites for Hattie Mae Hoskinson, 70, Coralville, mother of Russell Hoskinson, Tipton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Dec. 12) at the George Gates Funeral home, Iowa City, with burial in Memory Gardens cemetery, Iowa City.

Mrs. Hoskinson died at the Iowa City Extended Care Center Dec. 9, following an extended illness.

The daughter of George and Ellen Newmyra Madden, she was born July 7, 1898 and was married to Perry W. Hoskinson Nov. 5, 1914 at Iowa City. They farmed in Johnson county until 1946 when they moved to Iowa City.

She is survived by 2 sons, Russell, Tipton; Lloyd H., Iowa City; Mrs. Thora Shay, Des Moines; 5 daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Kadlec, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Naomi Fairchild, Coralville; Mrs. Dorothy Bowman, Iowa City and Mrs. Opal Danhey, Waterloo, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
