Karen also loved reading, venturing to the casino, gardening and flowers (she was a fan of fern peonies!) and spending time with her family and friends…especially her grandkids.
Karen is survived by her husband, Roger; children: Laura Birely, Marvin Birely Jr., Rhonda Birely, Carrie (Justin) Collins, Martin Birely, Amy (Doug) Eckrich, Clint Smith, Randy (Hope) Regennitter and Rick (Rhonda) Regennitter; grandchildren: Ashley Birely, Matthew Birely, Brent (Madison) Mullnix, Emily Mullnix, Hanna Mullnix, Amber Garringer, Joseph Collins, Adam Eckrich, Abby Eckrich, Dylan Beranek, Austin Birely, Rachel Regennitter, Renee (Dan) Baur-McGuire, Riley Regennitter and Rayna Regennitter; eight great grandchildren with two more on the way and her siblings: Judy (Dellis) Swartzendruber and Robert Mavis. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Birely; brother, James Mavis and husbands: Richard Stoneking, Marvin Birely Sr. and Harry Smith.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to nurse Gabi Bulbula at Mercy Hospital for the wonderful care he showed Karen and the family during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o Roger Regennitter.
