Karen A. Moore, 80, of Fremont, NE passed away, Wednesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday in Fremont, NE. Graveside committal services will be held at 10 AM Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Father Stephen Witt will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Karen was born July 11, 1941 in Iowa City, IA to T. Merdith and Lavina (Jenn) Miller. She graduated from Regina High School in 1960, the first class to graduate from Regina. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. Karen married Donald G. Moore on August 12, 1964 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.

Karen taught elementary school for over forty years and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.

She is survived by cousins, LeRoy and JoAnn Bopp; her Fremont Family, Travis Porter, his children, Emilee Porter, Austin Porter, Dylan Porter and his grandchild, Grayson Porter; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Don.
