Kathy Mae Dalton, 68, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Iowa City, Iowa on January 14, 1953 to the late Dean Cole and Alice Sedlacek Cole. She made Lake City, Florida her home since 2010, moving there from the Hawthorne, Florida area. Kathy worked for the University of Iowa for over fifteen years, and in her spare time, she enjoyed trips, working with word puzzles, watching games shows and garage sales.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David Dalton, Sr., of Lake City, FL; son, David Dalton Jr. (Sheryl) of Dothan, AL; daughter, Lacey Jones (Weston) of Lexington Park, MD; siblings, Ronnie Cole (Shari), Randy Cole (Chris), Jolene Colthurst (Andy), Roger Cole (Laurie), Robert Cole (Kim), Nancy Hebl (Scott), Rick Cole (Julie), Mary Ellen Yedlik (Joel) and Rodney Cole, all of Iowa. Five grandchildren, David Dalton III, Samantha Dalton, Alyssa Dalton, Jaxson Jones and Colton Jones also survive her.

A memorial service for Kathy was held Tuesday, March 30th, in Florida.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 9th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills, Iowa. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery - rural Hills.
