Patricia Ann Lehman Riley, 86, lifelong resident of Johnson County passed away January 23, 2021 at Windmill Manor Care.

Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held June 6, 2021 at 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Tiffin Baseball Field and Park, 2793 US-6, Tiffin, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to be used for funeral expenses.

Patricia was born September 1, 1934 in Tiffin, Iowa to Richard and Lucille (Reynolds) Brogan. She grew up in the Solon area and graduated from Solon High School in 1953. A couple months after high school graduation, Patricia married the love of her life on September 17, 1953 at The First United Methodist Church in Iowa City. The couple spent almost 40 loving and memorable years together before he passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 1992.

Patricia stayed busy at home doing what she loved most, raising their two children. She lost a part of her when she lost her husband but becoming a great-grandma and eventually great-great-grandma was the best gift she could have asked for.

On January 26, 2002, she married John Patrick Riley and remained by his side caring for him through his chronic illness that caused his death in 2005. Not only a devoted wife but also mother to her children, Patricia was always their number one fan during lifes good times and the bad times.

An important part of Patricia’s life was the Eagles Club, where she was a dedicated member for 40-years. She made many lifelong friendships here and loved the many years spent volunteering and eventually serving as Vice President and President. She also loved listening to any kind of music but if she had to choose, it would be country.

Patricia moved to Emerson Point, where she lived for four years before she had her first stroke. This was only added to many other health issues that she had against her which caused her to move to Windmill Manor, where she lived up until her death. Her daughter and grandchildren would visit her often and could see her health decline quickly within the past year or so. The last year of Patricia’s life was not the quality of life that she would have wanted to live and knowing that she is now at peace helped her loved ones be at peace.

Survivors include her two children, Becky Wiederhold of Iowa City and David Lehman of North Liberty; sister-in-law Jane Brogan of Coralville; four grandchildren Bradley, Anthony, Amber and Robert; 10 great-grandchildren William, Lucas, Austin, Hayden, Charlie, Cheyenne, Paityn, Owen, Ily and Isabella; two great-great-grandchildren Kaitlin and Eleanor, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands David Lehman in 1992 and John Riley in 2005, and her brother Paul Brogan.
