Louise Lytle, 79, of Iowa City passed away peacefully at The University and Iowa Hospital and Clinics on December 13, 2020.

A private family service will be held as they say goodbye to their loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.

Louise was born October 15, 1941 in Oak Hill, Pennsylvania to Victor and Vera (James) Zamosky. She married the love of her life, Eugene Lytle in 1960. In 1962, the couple moved to California, where they raised their four sons. They moved to Iowa City in 1979, where they started Marketing Systems Unlimited. Louise and her husband owned and operated Marketing Systems Unlimited for a number of years with the help of their children.

Louise enjoyed traveling and it was common for Louise and Gene to take off on road trips to experience different parts of the country. Louise loved being at Lake of the Ozarks, where she and her husband bought a home and spent a lot of their time. Life took a turn for the worse when she tragically lost her husband in 2001.

Louise had a great sense of humor and was full of life, especially when surrounded by her grandchildren. She was not only a mother to her four children but also to their wives. If you knew Louise, you knew that she was “Nanny” to her grandchildren and others. Louise had a good heart and loved her family more than anything. She loved playing bingo and going to the casino. She was an avid Steelers Fan.

Survivors include her four sons, Gene (Sherri) Lytle of Hiawatha, Jeff (Karen) Lytle of North Liberty, Randy Lytle of North Liberty and Shawn (Laurie) Lytle of Iowa City; 11 grandchildren Jacob Lytle, Justin Lytle (Samantha Psyk), Collin Lytle, Austin Lytle, T.J. (Maggie) Lytle, Steven (Nicole) Lytle, Drew (Berit) Lytle, MacKenzie (Chris) Artman, Morgan (Tyler) Davis, Paige Lytle and Ashley Lytle; 3 great-grandchildren Jayla Lytle, Luca Artman and Ronin Riggins, and two more in 2021; four siblings Carolyn (Wes) Crane, Vicki Bird, Denise (Jim) Brockman and Jim Zamosky, and numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene.
