Helen Louise Haugan, 101, longtime Coralville resident, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital.

Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick’s Church or St. Wenceslaus Church.

Helen was born July 29, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Dan and Irene (Hurley) Terrell. Helen married John Haugan in 1939. John died in 1972.

Helen was civic minded, very social, and well known for the hats she wore. She had been a member of St. Patrick’s Church and also attended Mass at St. Wenceslaus Church.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Diana Whitley of North Carolina; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her adopted family, Stacie and Steve Neuzil and their sons, Jake and Cameron of Oxford.

Helen was preceded in death by husband; and two sons, Michael and Daniel Patrick.
