MRS. CHAS. BURNETT DIED LAST SATURDAY
Mrs. Charles Burnett died at her home in Iowa City Saturday afternoon of influenza and complications. She was twenty-six years of age and was formerly Miss Laura Fountain of River Junction. Those left to mourn for her are her husband Charles Burnett, and two little sons, Arlo, three years of age and Virgil one and one half years of age. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Emma Fountain.The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from Harmon’s chapel, the Reverend Ira J. Houston conducting the service. Interment will be in Oakland cemetery. Friends of the family will be grieved to hear of the death of this devoted young wife and mother.

Sorrowing relatives followed the body of Mrs. C. A. Burnett to its last resting place at Oakland cemetery yesterday after a brief private funeral at Harmon’s undertaking parlors conducted by Rev. Ira J. Houston. Two aunts, the Mesdames Fountain of vicinity of River Junction were among the relatives from out of the city to attend the funeral.Just a few hours after the mother was laid to rest the soul of little Arlo, the three year old son, took its flight. The surviving members of the family are the father, C. A. Burnett, and one little son, Virgil, one and one-half years of age.
