Amiel Riddle, a young soldier, died November 29, at Camp Dix, New Jersey. He left here July 26, went to Camp Pike and was transferred to New Jersey. He was 23 years of age, and leaves his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 9:30 from the home of his brother, James Riddle and later at the Catholic church at Green Castle. Burial will be in the Cilek cemetery.
NORTH LIBERTY SOLDIER DIED AT CAMP DIX
Sad news has come to the Riddle family announcing the death of their son at the camp in New Jersey. Frank Riddle and brother had just returned from New Jersey on Saturday leaving the sick brother somewhat better. They received telegrams daily on his condition which did not seem improving. Then word came that he had passed away. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.

Emil Riddle, 23 years old, son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Riddle, pioneers of Madison township in this county, is dead at Camp Merritt, victim of disease.The young man is survived by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters, he being the youngest son.
The splendid young man was called in the contingent that left for Camp Pike July 2 and was transferred east later where he died.
The remains arrived in Iowa City yesterday and the funeral was held this morning at the home of his brother James in Madison township, after which burial was made in Cilek cemetery.
