DEATH OF JOHN KLEIN SHOCKS HILLS PEOPLE
Hills - The entire community was shocked Friday evening when they heard the sad news of the sudden death of John Klein. He was taken ill with the dreaded disease which is invading the entire country, the influenza. He was ill a week but it was thought he was getting along fine and the sudden change came Friday afternoon about 4 o’clock and the end came the same evening at 7:30.

John was the eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Klein living three miles west of town. He was 23 years of age and born and reared to manhood on the farm and was a good and promising young man, but the hand of death came e’er too soon.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Klein, three brothers, Frank, Wilfred and Albert and one sister, Calara, all at home and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o’clock at the home and burial in the Mentzer cemetery. Sympathy was extended to this family during their bereavement.
