YOUNG WIFE SOON FOLLOWS HUSBAND
Mrs. G. E. Wagner of 221 Bloomington Street passed away this morning at 1:25 after a two weeks’ illness from influenza and pneumonia. Her husband died last Sunday and was buried Wednesday and it was then feared that her life would not be much longer spared.

She has lived in Iowa City all her life. Hilda Nelson was born October 15, 1894 and was married to G. E. Wagner on April 11, 1917.

The lamented young woman is survived by her mother, Mrs. Sam Meyers who lives near Iowa City, two sisters and two brothers. Her sisters are Cledia of this city and Mrs. James T. Doyle of Davenport. The brothers are Earl and Elmer of Iowa City.

The funeral will be held from the Mortuary tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock and the Rev. M. S. E. Ellis, pastor of the Methodist church will conduct the services which will be private.

It seems indeed a tragedy when two such splendid useful young lives are taken and the grieving relatives have the sincere sympathy of a wide circle in the loss of this loved young couple.

Mrs. Wagner was a graduate of the Irish Business College and following her graduation held a stenographic position with the Brenard manufacturing company, a position in which she showed herself worthy of every trust placed in her.
