Mrs. Lawrence Wadsworth, 69, died March 15 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City after a long illness.

She was born Dale Michel on a farm in Johnson county June 3, 1892, the daughter of William and Carrie Sponey Michel. She was married to Lawrence Wadsworth Dec. 19, 1923, they had lived at Iowa City since.

Mrs. Wadsworth was a practical nurse in the West Branch area for many years and later was a seamstress in her home.

Survivors include the husband; a sister, Cora Michel, Iowa City; 3 brothers, Harvey, Tiffin, Harry, Cedar Rapids, and Donald, Iowa City; and 2 nephews reared by Mrs. Wadsworth, Dean and Charles Michel, both of Goldsboro, N.C.

Funeral services were March 17 at Iowa City with the Rev. L. L. Dunnington, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
