PETERSEIM FUNERAL SERVICE - KALONA, IOWA

Leslie L. McKray, Route 1, Kalona, living in the Frytown community, died at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City on Saturday, August 8, 1970 at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 3 days. He had been ill several months.
Mr. McKray was born near Kalona on October 5, 1914, a son of Albert and Glee Andrews McKray. He was married to Fern Karr of Wellman in December 1939 in Kahoka, Mo.
He farmed for a number of years west of Frytown and had been employed in Iowa City at the University School for severely handicapped children.
Surviving are his widow; a son, James, and a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Bonnie) Bender, all of Kalona; his father, Albert McKray, and an uncle, Otis McKray of Iowa City.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 10 at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John D. Woodin in charge. Interment was made in the Sharon Hill Cemetery, Kalona.
