EDWARD MUMM, 74, DIES AT LONE TREE

Funeral Services Will Be Held Wednesday

LONE TREE – Edward Mumm, 74, died at his home in lone tree Sunday morning after an illness of more than three years.
The son of John and Margaret Mumm, he was born at Nichols on March 30, 1867. He married Rickie Linderman January 27, 1891, and resided in Lone Tree the last 65 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Frances Hiebing and Mrs. Gertrude Lantz, both of Iowa City, Mrs. Cecelia Herring of Lone Tree and Miss Amanda Mumm, at home. One son, John, died September 29, 1918, after whom the John L. Mumm American Legion post at Lone Tree is named, and two daughters, Mary and Edna, and two infants also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s church at Lone Tree with the Rev. F. Hauber in charge. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery near Nichols.
