Leanna J. Crutchfield, age 77, of Iowa City died April 5, 2005 at her home suddenly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ed Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leanna J. Crutchfield Memorial Fund.

Leanna was born March 22, 1928 in Pierce City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph E. and Lillie Avice (Troxell) Lasswell. Leanna married Bernard D. Crutchfield on September 18, 1949 in Wilmington, Illinois. Leanna was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She loved animals, enjoyed gardening and was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church.

Leanna is survived by two daughters Rebecca Crutchfield and her husband Alan Stoker of Iowa City and Mary Jo McGrane and her husband John of Cedar Rapids, Three grandchildren, Timothy, Emma McGrane and Francesca Crutchfield Stoker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Leanna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband.
