Mr. McGlumphry was born July, 21, 1917 at Pasadena, California, the son of Fred and Agnes McGlumphry, and died Monday, March 6, 1967 at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 15 days.
During World War II he served in the Merchant Marine and has been employed in the Iowa City School system as a custodian. He was married to Arlene Ihrig.
Surviving are his widow; four sons, Gary of Ottumwa, and James, Robert and Michael at home; four daughters, Barbara, Nancy, Rebecca and Roberta, all at home; a granddaughter; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Black of Glendorn, Calif., and Miss Ellen McGlumphry of Pasadena.
He was preceded in death by one daughter.
