Heather Marie Hibbs, 17 of Oxford died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 after injuries sustained in a car accident.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Lensing Funeral Service 605 Kirkwood Ave. Iowa City from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, April 3, which would have been Heather’s 18th birthday at Clear Creek Amana High School Auditorium in Tiffin. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Tiffin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Heather Marie Hibbs Memorial Fund, c/o Lensing Funeral Service, PO BOX 167, Iowa City, Iowa 52240.

Heather was born April 3, 1987 in Sarasota, Florida the daughter of Brian and Deb (Riggan) Hibbs. Heather was a senior at Clear Creek Amana High School. She was involved in the Chorus, the theatre department and was a member of the Physics Olympic Team. Heather loved life. She was always happy. She especially enjoyed reading and writing poetry and listening to all types of music. She was an aspiring model. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Heather is survived by her parents, Brian and Deb Hibbs of Oxford, Iowa, one brother, Tyler Hibbs of Oxford, Iowa; she is survived by her grandparents; Joyce and Wayne Hibbs of Sarasota, Florida; Sharon Riggan and Nub Sager of Reinbeck, Iowa; aunts and uncles; Jeff and Carie Hibbs of Sarasota, Fl, Kim and Shannon Snyder of Sarasota, Fl; Jim Riggan of Oxford, IA, Boone Riggan of Iowa City, IA, Dyan Riggan of Tiffin, Al and Tena Riggan of Ainsworth, IA; by her cousins; Ashley, Hunter, Cody, Chase, Dusty, Brady, Chelsey, Emily, Joey, Jimmy and Jessica. She is also survived by her great grandma Francis Miller of North Liberty and many great aunts and uncles. Her friends were very special to her especially her best friend, Rachel Alberts.

Heather is preceded in death by her Grandpa James F. Riggan, Uncle Wayne Forman and great grandparents Wayne and Betty Hibbs.
