Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Liebe were held this afternoon, Thursday, February 17, 1966 at 1:30 o'clock at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lowell Drake was in charge of services. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. The Peterseim Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Liebe died Tuesday, February 15 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 9 days.
Born June 6, 1883 in Johnson County, a daughter of Levi and Catherine Hull Butterbaugh. She was married to Charles Liebe on July 3, 1912. The couple farmed northwest of Kalona until Mr. Liebe's death in 1949.
Survivors include one daughter, Leoan, at home; one son, Ward, Kalona; one brother, John Butterbaugh, Wellman; two grandsons and six great grandchildren. A son and a brother preceded her in death.
