Dorothy L. Taylor, 85 formerly of Iowa City, died March 9, 2005 in Maryville, Tennessee.

A Memorial service will be held2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. With the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. A light reception will follow at the church. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Dorothy was born November 29, 1919 in Johnson County, Iowa the daughter of Earl J. and Millie (Mott) Bane. She was married to Ralph J. Taylor on June 8, 1941 in Johnson County, Iowa. For many years she worked at the Earnest Horn School with the school lunch program and earlier as a clerk for Aldens in Iowa City.

She is survived by her children Terry A. Ockenfels and her husband Jim of Maryville, TN and Dr. Tom Taylor and his wife Mary Filerof West Hartford, CT; by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
