William “Bill” Alan Hansen, 62, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Mercy Hospice.
Family committal services will be at Fountain Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coralville Public Library or Iowa City Hospice, c/o PO Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52240
Bill was born June 25, 1956 in Iowa City, the son of Chesley and LaVerne (Fountain) Hansen. He graduated from City High School in 1975 and worked at the Coralville Lenoch and Cilek for most of his life. He loved to read especially Civil War history and was a regular at the Coralville Public Library.
Bill was able to care for others by his donation to the Iowa Donor Network.
Bill is survived by his three siblings, Craig (Susan) Hansen of Riverside, Jerry (Bonnie) Hansen of Hills, and Jeanine (Mickey) Fixsen of Tipton; nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
