Roy L. Reese, age 73, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, active member of the Classy Chassy Cruisers Car Club and a member of the Precision Performance Pit Crew that has won many honors over the years. Roy simply enjoyed life, his dogs, racing cars whether drag racing, stock car racing or showing off his very yellow hot rod! He was not only a strong supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes, but loved his Chicago Cubs too! One of his quirks, he enjoyed collecting cookie jars, something many might not know.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa City, where there will be a time of visitation from 9am until the services on Saturday. (Sunday parking ordinance will be in effect for streets near the church) Friends who have enjoyed their old cars as Roy has, are encouraged to drive their Classy Cruisers to the services and park near the church. Burial will follow services at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Roy’s memory to the First United Methodist Church or The Crisis Center in Iowa City.
