DIED SARAH, the beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Bradley, died at the home her parents near Iowa City, July 15th 1897, after a brief but very painful illness.
She was apparently in good health until Sabbath morning, July 11th, when she first complained of feeling unwell, and from that time she rapidly sank, until the 15th, when the end came.
The only eulogy she requires is the memory of her pure, guileless and Christian character, to those by whom she was known, and who had the pleasure of her association.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Iowa City. The funeral took place at the home, Sabbath evening, July 18th, and was conducted by Rev. Geo. Furniss, who tried to improve the circumstances by remarks based on I Thes. IV. 13 14.
The funeral was very largely attended, there being hundreds of people there to share their sympathy with the grief stricken parents, and their loving remembrance of the deceased.
May God give the comfort of his Spirit and sustaining influence of his grace to the bereft family.
