The funeral services of Mrs. Sarah Jacobs (nee Parks) were held last Sabbath Dec. 18th at St John M.E. church, near Morse, Ia. She was married Nov. 19th 1882 to her now bereaved husband, Stephen Jacobs. Eleven years of her married life were spent in Nebraska and three in Iowa. After long suffering in which no doubt she was being prepared to meet her God in peace, she fell asleep in death, Dec. 11th '96, in the thirty-fifth year of her life. Her little son Clyde will miss and mourn a mothers loving care. She leaves on this side the flood a mother, three sisters and four brothers. Services were conducted by Rev. W. A. Gibbens at the home and church and at the Morse cemetery. Many sympathizing friends followed her to her silent home.
