Wm. Felkner died at his home in Iowa City, May 12, 1916. He was born in Iowa City, July 18, 1852. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, Jessie, his daughters, Mrs. Coffen of Chicago, Wilma of New York City, Mrs. Ann Hall, Margaret and Wm. Jr. of Iowa City, also three sisters Mrs. E. C. Haynes, Misses Rachel and Elizabeth of Iowa City and one brother, Clinton D. Mr. Felkner spent his entire life in Downey and Iowa City, was a grain dealer here for a number of years. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Services were held from the M.P. church, conducted by Rev. J. S. Wood. Interment in Downey cemetery.
