Mrs. L. Troyer Taken In Death Friday Afternoon
Lillian Samantha Strickler was born on September 18, 1868 on a farm near Sharon Center and passed away at her home in Kalona, where she lived with her brother Charles Strickler, on October 1, 1937.
On April 30, 1889 she was united in marriage to Daniel Troyer. To this union was born one child Violet Irene, who preceded her mother in death.
When a young lady, Mrs. Troyer, united with the Evangelical church of Sharon, of which she remained a member until the time of her death.
She leaves to mourn her departure two sisters, Mrs. Florence Miller of Iowa City and Mrs. Minnie Grout of Tingley; one brother Charles of Kalona and an uncle Mr. Charles Zager of Iowa City.
Funeral services were held at her home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.E. Clark. Interment was made in the Sharon Evangelical cemetery.
Pall bearers were Alva Niffenegger, John Yoder, Howard Gingerich, Lloyd Strickler, Lovel Strickler and R.S. Fry.
