Elizabeth Bridget Akers, 43, wife of Benjamin Akers of Morse, died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Saturday at 8 p.m. after a lingering illness. She was born in Black Hawk county Oct. 17, 1890. Besides her husband she is survived by twelve children: two daughters, Mary Babbitt, Iowa City and Catherine at home, ten sons, Leo, at Fort Riley, Kans., Delbert, Charles, George, Patrick, Lester, Joseph, Thomas, Paul and Robert, all at home. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Roe of Morse; six brothers and a sister. A sister and four brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. J. J. Hopkins was in charge. Burial was made in St. Bridget's cemetery at Nolan's settlement.
