SHARON CENTER - Mrs. Kate Ressler, 89, of Sharon Center, died Thursday at a care center in Coralville after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church with burial in the Sharon Center Cemetery. An Eastern Star memorial service will be today at 8 p.m. in the George L. Gay Funeral Home, Iowa City.
Mrs. Ressler was born Jan. 18, 1882, in Johnson County, daughter of Abraham and Barbara Durst Lackender. She was married to Arthur A. Ressler on Nov. 7, 1906, in Sharon Center. She was a member of the Sharon Center United Methodist Church and Corona Chapter of OES.
She is survived by two sons, Harold and Dale of Iowa City; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Mildred) Sindt of Spirit Lake; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
