Robert Roberts Funeral Monday
Funeral services for Robert Evan Roberts, 72, of Route 3, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Oathout funeral chapel with burial to be in the Welsh Cemetery west of Iowa City. He died early Friday.
A native of the country, Mr. Roberts made his home on a farm near Sharon Center. He was born July 4, 1886, a son of John and Mary Roberts. He was married in 1908 to the former Elizabeth Jones.
Mr. Roberts was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Sharon Center.
Survivors are his widow, three sons, four grandchildren and a sister, Miss Jane Roberts, of Portland, Ore. Three daughters and a sister preceded him in death.
The Rev. John G. Craig, pastor of the First Congregational church, and the Rev. Howard H. Marty, pastor of Sharon Evangelical United Brethren church, will officiate at the funeral.
