Mrs. J Miller Dies Saturday
Was In Ill Health For One Year; Rites Held This Afternoon

Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon for Mrs. Joe H. Miller, 65 rural route No. 3, who died Saturday afternoon at 5:05 o'clock at her home. She had been in poor health for one year. Rites were held at the Oathout chapel. Burial was in the Sharon Evangelical cemetery.
The former Florence Amelia Strickler, daughter of Elias and Amelia Strickler, she was born June 27, 1875, on a farm in Johnson County near Sharon. She resided in Johnson County her entire life.
In 1804 she was married to Joe H. Miller of Sharon and the couple farmed near Sharon until 1924 when they moved to the edge of Iowa City where they have resided.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Burkey of Iowa City, Mrs. Dale Leibig of Kalona and Mrs. John Schlabaugh of Wellman; four sons, LeRoy and Oral, both of Iowa City, Stanley, at home, and Ardell of Lone Tree; one sister, Mrs. Z.I. Grout of Tingley; one brother, Charles Strickler of Kalona, and four grandchildren.
