Dat Dinh Quoc Tran, 13, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from complications of cancer.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 7am until 10am and on Friday from 5pm until 8pm at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Dat was born March 6, 2004, in Vietnam, and he and his family moved to the United States in 2012. Here in Iowa City he was currently in eighth grade at Southeast Junior High School.

Dat’s family includes his parents, Thuan and Xuan Tran; and brothers, Khoa Dinh Tran and Tien Dinh Quoc Tran; and many other family and friends.
