Funeral services for John William Dohrer, 72, Solon, will be held at 2 PM Today (Sept 3) at the Brosh Funeral Home in Solon, with the Rev. Doug Peters of Solon United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call until the time of service at Brosh's.

Mr. Dohrer died August 31 at his home following a lingering illness.

He was born January 2, 1914 in Iowa City. He married Delora Jett Oct. 21, 1935 in Iowa City and he farmed in Johnson County all of his life.

Mr. Dohrer is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, Doris Carney, West Branch; Deanna Miller and Cindy Duwa, Iowa City; a son, John, Oxford and 3 sisters, Mrs. LeRoy Wildman and Mrs. Warren Ernst, West Branch and Mrs. Ralph Shaw, Iowa City.
