William G. Schrag Newspaper Obituary as received from Iowa City Public Library----born 11 Jun 1918 & died 20 Nov 1978 in Iowa City, IA (APS)

William G Schrag, 60, of 2128 South Riverside Drive died Monday afternoon at his home after a sudden illness.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the George L Gay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military services will be held at the graveside.

Mr Schrag, a son of Carl and Lillian Ullrich Schrag, was born June 11, 1918, in Iowa City. He married Lelia Miller Little Dec. 31, 1975 in Iowa City.

He attended Lone Tree High School and was employed as a custodian at West High School.

He attended the First United Methodist Church. A veteran of World War II,
Mr Schrag was a member of VFW Post 3949, the American Legion Bicentennial Post at North Liberty and the Moose Lodge and the Eagles.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs Tom (Linda) Cameron and Mrs. Tim (Ginny) Cameron, both of Phoenix; one son, Carl of Phoenix; one step-son, Thomas L. Little of Iowa City; one step-daughter Leslie Jo, at home;
nine grandchildren and one sister; Mrs Clarence (Clara) Eigner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
