Michael Gene Spengler, 63, of Iowa City died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at UIHC.

Family Committal Services will be held at a later date.

Michael was born September 25, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa , the son of Richard and Nadine Bauer Spengler. He had served in the US Army.

Survivors include son Eric and two grandchildren of Walcott, IA; three siblings, Joni (David) Timmerman of Bennett, IA; Craig Spengler of Bennett, IA and Greg (Lynne) Spengler of North Liberty, IA; nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Erika.
