LeRoy G. Krogh, 70, died Friday, January 29, 2016, at his home, just where he wanted to be.

As per his wishes, cremation services have been provided through Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service with family caring, supporting and remembering him in their own ways at this time. Any memorial donations can be directed to Parkinson’s Research in memory of LeRoy.

LeRoy Gunnar Krogh was born March 10, 1945, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Gunnar C. and Betty Mae (Weekes) Krogh. He graduated from City High School with the class of 1963. For over 42 years, LeRoy has worked for the Iowa City Post Office, retiring in 2005. For a number of years Leroy was with the Johnson County Posse. If you knew LeRoy, you knew he loved his home in the country, the outdoors was always calling him. Whether it was hunting most anything, especially turkeys, fly fishing in creeks and rivers, tending to his horses or simply walking his land appreciating the simple beauty of nature! But most dear to his heart was camping, fishing and being with his sons!

His family includes his sons, Lee Krogh (Kim Parker) of Iowa City; and Christian Krogh of Lone Tree; sister, Carolyn Bickford (Russell) of Iowa City; his brother, Gunnar Krogh Jr. of Lone Tree; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Ruth Ann Suiter
