Caleb Mark Teager was born on December 28, 1996 in Iowa City. He was a bright, sunny child who was always full of enthusiasm and laughter. Growing up he was always trying to keep up with his older siblings. He had a special talent helping his dad with various projects from building fences to landscaping to woodworking. He also loved spending time on his grandparents’ farm helping with whatever needed to be done. Throughout the years, Caleb participated in numerous sports as his parents cheered him on; especially his mother, who often cheered at an embarrassing level. He enjoyed baseball, football, cross country, swimming, basketball, and most of all GOLF. Even as a toddler, Caleb would use just about anything from a rake to a broom to hit a golf ball.
In his most recent years, Caleb spent his time listening to music, longboarding, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and hanging out with family, friends, and his dog Samantha.
Caleb had an amazing smile and exceptionally kind heart. All through his all too brief life, Caleb was sensitive to the difficulties and pain of others; he will be missed beyond meaure.
Our beautiful and beloved son, Caleb Mark Teager passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at the age of 18. Caleb is survived by his parents Brian and Susan Teager, his siblings Gabriel (Starr) Teager, Madison Teager, Nate (Mica) Teager, his grandparents Shirley and Darwin Beckman, and many dear family friends. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Caleb’s life will be held at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52240 on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caleb’s name to United Action for Youth, P.O. Box 892, Iowa City, IA 52244.
Caleb, you will forever be in our hearts.
