DeShawn C. Daves, 49, longtime time resident of the Coralville/Iowa City, area died suddenly, Sunday, October 11, 2015, at her home from natural causes.

Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, October 30, 2015 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. DeShawn Cherie Daves was born August 16, 1966, in Iowa City the daughter of Aubrey “Dave” and Carla Rae (Bell) Daves. She has most recently worked for GDIT in Coralville in quality control.

Her family includes her 3 children, Shasta Joy, Tom Cofield and Joseph Cofield; 2 grandchildren, Nevaeh and Jacob Joy; father, Aubrey “Dave” Daves; sister, Margaret “Peggie” Gipple (Bret); brother, Raymond “Cody” Daves (Dayna); and her former husband, Jeffrey Cofield.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carla Rae Daves.
