Lois D. Beasley, 84, of Iowa City, passed away, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Burlington Care Center surrounded by her family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Sharon Center United Methodist Church, Kalona, IA.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22 from 5-7 PM at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City.

Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery, Kalona, IA.

Memorials may be made to Sharon Center United Methodist Church.

Lois was born on February 5, 1931 in Iowa City, the daughter of Hugh and Ruth (Frederick) Dunlap. She lived in the Iowa City area her entire life. Lois was a member of the Sharon Center United Methodist Church and Sharon Center Women’s Club. She was also a member of the DAR and a Master Gardener. She enjoyed taking care of her garden; she especially loved her hostas. One of Lois’s favorite things to do was lunch with the Birthday Girls, which was featured in Senior Living 2008 paper. She enjoyed antiques and knitting.

Lois is survived by two children, Barb (Jim) Evans of West Burlington, IA, and John (Ronda) Beasley of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, and Carolyn Evans, and Sean and Kelsey Beasley; and one sister Mary Smith of Columbia, MO.

Lois is preceded in death by her daughter Martha Beasley, and two brothers Paul and James Dunlap.
