Jacqueline Mae Hodson, 80, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 17, 2015. Per her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Milan First Presbyterian Church in Milan, IL.

Jacqueline was born on November 22, 1934 in Moline, IL, the daughter of John and Blanche (Conover) Williams. She grew up in East Moline and Coal Valley, IL and was a graduate of Coal Valley High School. On July 26, 1953, Jacqueline was united in marriage to Richard Hodson in Coal Valley.

For over 20 years, Jacqueline worked as a Medical Transcriptionist Supervisor, working at the Rock Island Arsenal, the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, and most recently at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics until her retirement in 1995.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband Richard of Iowa City, and their four children: Cynthia (Mike) Kerber of Normal, IL, Shari (Ronald) Cole of Iowa City, IA, Randal (Lisa) Hodson of Evergreen, CO, Lisa (Robert) Linhart of Littleton, CO; and 8 grandchildren: Andrea, Brendan, Bryan, Megan, Lee, Joshua, Kate, and Heather, and 1 great-grandchild, Jay.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Williams, and a grandchild Kellie Cole.
