Hazel D. Tarr, 86, of Johnston; formerly of Hilliard, OH, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. She is survived by her daughter, Hazel D. Tarr, Jr. of Sarasota, FL; sister, Donna Weeter of Johnston, IA and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Her cremated remains will be buried at the Grand River Cemetery.

Her thoughts for everyone she leaves behind…’While on this ride we call “life,” you have to take the good with the bad. Smile when you’re sad, love what you’ve got and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget. Learn from your mistakes, but never regret. People change…things go wrong. Just remember, the ride goes on.’ Author Unknown
